Education Minister Ronald Thwaites, says the new school year will see the Ministry providing approximately 125,000 students between the age of 4-and-8-years, with a daily free breakfast and lunch.

The Minister says the feeding programme is not a signal for parents to abdicate their responsibility to their children.

And Minister Thwaites says students under the PATH programme will now receive lunches five days per week, up from the previous three days.

He says the programme is being expanded, in an attempt to boost attendance levels.
