Minister of Industry, Commerce, Agriculture and Fisheries, Audley Shaw says he’s seeking to use more government properties to house factories.
He says his participation in the recent Investor Forum in Montego Bay, St James brought the significant need for factory space to his attention.
Mr. Shaw says the government is to start with a nine-acre state-owned property on Spanish Town Road in St. Andrew.
Minister Shaw also says he’s to re-open the JAMPRO office in New York in September.
Minister Shaw was speaking on Friday at an American Chamber of Commerce in Jamaica function.
