Govt Moves to Boost BPO Skills Training


Finance Minister, Dr. Nigel Clarke, says the government is moving to boost the skills and training that’s available in the Business Process Outsourcing, BPO, sector.

Specifically, the Finance Minister yesterday, signed a $15-million loan agreement with the Inter-American Development Bank, IDB. He says the loan will help to boost the higher level skills sector in the industry, the Knowledge Processing Outsourcing, KPO sector.

Dr. Clarke says despite gains in the BPO sector in recent years, the government is investing in the sector to maintain gains.

Dr. Nigel Clarke was speaking yesterday at the loan signing at his Ministry’s Heroes Circle Headquarters.
