Govt Speeding Up the Processing of Pension Payments

The government is testing a new computerized system to speed up the processing of pension payments.

It’s called the Public Employees’ Pension Administration System (PEPAS).

It was announced by State Minister for Finance, Rudyard Spencer, in the House of Representatives yesterday.

The Minister says six entities have been selected to take part in the testing including the Jamaica Defence Force, Ministry of Education, Youth and Information and the Office of the Prime Minister.
