15

Managing Director for Janitorial Traders Limited, Roger Chang says government bureaucracy is stifling the export sector.

Mr Chang has made the claim in the wake of his company’s successful export of over half-a-million US or approximately 57-million Jamaican dollars worth of organic bamboo charcoal to the United States.

The shipment represents the first time a bamboo product has been exported from Jamaica.

Mr. Chang says the shipment was achieved despite several bureaucratic impediments.
