Govt to Install Monitoring System in JUTC Buses

The government will soon install a monitoring system in all buses operated by the state-owned Jamaica Urban Transit Company, JUTC.

That’s according to Transport Minister Robert Montague who says the system will assist in the monitoring of bus drivers more effectively.

He made the announcement while speaking in the House of Representatives yesterday.

He estimates that the system will save the government millions of dollars yearly.

Meanwhile, the Transport Minister says a several CCTV cameras have already been installed in JUTC buses.
