Gov’t To Introduce Mandatory Eligibility Exam for Motorcyclists in 2020


Come January, motorcyclists will have to sit and pass a road code examination before being approved for a learner’s license.

For years, stakeholders, including the Police, have called for an intervention to address rampant motorcycle crashes.

This, as they blame the system that allows motorcyclists to operate bikes without being trained to do so.

The Transport Minister also says progress has been made in the push to amend the Transport Authority Act.

And, he says one of the changes it addresses is the seizure of vehicles.
