Prime Minister Andrew Holness says in the coming months, the government will be making state assets available to the private sector for utilisation.
Noting that the country has an incredible amount of assets not being utilised, the Prime Minister said the government will continue to create the environment in which entrepreneurs can play their part in creating economic growth and prosperity.
Mr Holness did not give a specific date, but says in the coming months, the government will be intensifying its policy of full assets utilisation. He listed four ways in which this will be done.
Prime Minister Holness was speaking at the opening of the Spanish Court Hotel in St. James.
The property is part of the Crissa Hotel Group, which also includes the Spanish Court Hotel in Kingston, and the Spanish Court Worthington events venue. The new 120-room property overlooks Doctor’s Cave beach.
