Regional organizations — CARICOM and the Organization of American States — continue to bicker and haggle over a response to the Venezuelan crisis.

There was no consensus at the end of a meeting of OAS Foreign Ministers at the General Assembly in Cancun, Mexico some weeks ago.

Scores of people have died during protest action both for and against the government of President Nicholas Maduro.

Dr.Mitchell is urging member states to stand united to condemn violence.

Meanwhile, the Grenadian Prime Minister says more should be done to integrate the region. He says the cost of air travel taxes should be reduced.
