Gunman Killed After Opening Fire on Hunts Bay Police Station

There was high drama at the Hunts Bay Police Station in St Andrew this afternoon.

This as a gunman was shot dead after he entered the vicinity of the Police Station and fired a barrage of shots.

Sources say the gunman, who was wearing a bullet proof vest, went to the police station about 1 this afternoon and opened fire at a man who was reporting to the station regarding a criminal matter.

The target of the gunman’s bullet was reportedly shot and injured.

A woman was also injured during the melee.

Eyewitnesses say Police personnel at the station moved to avoid the gunman’s bullets then returned the fire.

The gunman was shot.

The incident resulted in the Police diverting traffic from the area.

The Corporate Communication Unit, CCU of the Constabulary Force has confirmed the incident but were unable to disclose details.
