Gunmen Fail in Attack on Hayes Police Station


The Hayes Police Station in Clarendon was attacked by armed gunmen yesterday morning.

According to the Police Corporate Communications Unit, CCU, a white motor car with three men aboard drove onto the compound shortly after 3:00 AM.

Two of the men came out of the car, one armed with a rifle and the other with a handgun.

The gunman with the rifle tried to open fire but was challenged by the station guard who fired at them.

The men retreated and escaped. CCU says no one was injured.

Investigations continue.
