The Hanover Police say they’ve declared a lockdown in the communities of Green Island and Hopewell in the parish.

The police in the western parish have been struggling to maintain the gains they’ve made in reducing murders.

Head of the Hanover Police, Superintendent Sharon Beeput, says they’re being proactive by putting the communities on lockdown.
