Dr. Bisasor McKenzie is calling for persons to take symptoms of the illness more seriously as most dengue related deaths are happening within 24-hours of showing up to the doctor.

With the island experiencing consistent rainfall in recent weeks, she’s also calling on citizens to rid their homes of mosquito breeding sites.

Meanwhile, Dr. Bisasor McKenzie says they’re so far not seeing the transmission of the dengue virus from the fairly new disease carrying mosquito, the Aedes Albopictus [AL-BO-PIC-TUS] mosquito.
