Henry Appalled At Auxillary Fee Debacle

Principal of the St. Catherine-based Cumberland High School, Darien Henry, says he’s appalled that some schools are still referring to the fees parents are asked to pay as auxiliary fees.

Mr. Henry says parents on the Programme of Advancement Through Health and Education, PATH, are not discriminated against at Cumberland High.

But, Mr Henry says there are other needy students who are not being assisted by PATH.

Stevian Simmonds is an investigative journalist with almost 3 years of experience in radio broadcasting, production and reporting. She graduated from Caribbean School of Media and Communication in 2014 and joined Nationwide News in 2016. In 2018, she produced a special report examining the working conditions of the Bussiness Process Outsourcing Industry.
