High Praise for Jamaica’s World Juniors Team


Coach of Wolmers Girl’s, Micheal Carr, is singing the praises of Jamaica’s under 20 team to the IAAF World Junior Championships in Poland last week.

Jamaica copped 2 gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze.

Carr says quarter miler-Tiffany James and sprint hurdler Rushelle Burton were Jamaica’s top performers at the 6-day meet.

Abka Fitz-Henley is a multiple award-winning journalist who is currently the Senior Reporter at Nationwide News Network (NNN). He’s also been awarded the prestigious Corporate Jamaica Broilers Fairplay 1st place Award for investigative journalism and is the recipient of the Caribbean Blog Award for coverage of the infamous Kartel murder trial. Fitz-Henley is also the recipient of the PM Youth Award for Excellence. Over the years, he has appeared as a guest on the BBC World Service and BBC London.
