High Praises for Alia after WR in Budapest

The Amateur Swimming Association of Jamaica congratulate Alia Atkinson on yet another World Record performance at the FINA Swimming World Cup on Saturday in Budapest.

Her World Record time of 28.56-seconds in the 50 metre Short Course Breaststroke event lowers her own World Record time of 28.64-seconds set on October 26, 2016 in Tokyo, Japan.

Swimming local governing body says Atkinson continues to set the bar for Jamaica and the Region in terms of swimming excellence.

Alia now has Four World Record performances to her credit which includes two in the 100 metre Short Course Breaststroke.

Meanwhile, Public Relation Officer of Trinidad and Tobago Swimming association, Jason Wickham, says Atkinson continue to make the Caribbean proud.
