Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Winston De La Haye, says a shortage of HIV medication on the island should be resolved between today and tomorrow.
The shortage arose from a procurement issue over the last few weeks.
Reports of the shortages surfaced last month.
Failure to adhere to the daily prescribed regimen of HIV medication runs the risk of the virus building up a resistance and increased chances of passing on the infection.
Dr. De La Haye says no adverse effects stemmed from the shortage despite some level of anxiety.
