Holness Left in Shock after Notice Shooting

Opposition Leader, Andrew Holness, says he’s shocked by the circumstances in which the Councillor for the Bog Walk Division in St. Catherine, Dr. Raymoth Notice, was shot and seriously wounded this morning.

He’s reportedly in stable condition.

In a statement today, the Opposition Leader says this morning’s attack is a frightening reminder of how vulnerable law abiding citizens are to crime.

He’s encouraging those with information on the shooting to assist the police in their investigations.

Head of the St. Catherine North Police, Senior Superintendent Marlon Nesbeth, says Dr. Notice was shot during an attempted robbery at his home in West Prospect, Bog Walk, at about 8:30am.

Meanwhile, the MP for South Central St. Catherine, the JLP’s Dr. Andrew Wheatley has condemned the shooting.
