Prime Minister Andrew Holness says his administration will be crafting better foreign policies to boost the country’s exports.
He says this focus is necessary to grow the economy because the Jamaican market is too small.
Mr. Holness says he’s not just interested in growth, but in creating meaningful jobs and good working conditions for Jamaicans.
Meanwhile, Mr. Holness says Jamaica is losing USD$10-million a year due to poaching of marine resources.
He says Jamaica hasn’t been managing these resources properly.
He was speaking at a tour of Rainforest Seafoods processing plant in Kingston yesterday.
