Holness Wants Evolution of Business Class in Jamaica

Prime Minister Andrew Holness says there’s a need for an evolution of the business class in Jamaica.

The Prime Minister says the mistrust between members of the public and private sectors is slowly thawing.

He says there’s been a general view that the business class controls all the wealth and are often exploiting the masses.

Prime Minister Holness says this is crucial to wealth creation in the new ownership economy.

He also says the government will be seeking to partner with the private sector to provide housing solutions at cheaper costs under a Guaranteed Purchase Programme.

Prime Minister Holness sought to explain how the programme works.
