Holness Warns School Administrators


Prime Minister Andrew Holness is warning school administrators against charging parents exorbitant fees, to register for school, come September. 

Prime Minister Holness, who’s also Member of Parliament for West Central St. Andrew, says he’s been seeing more requests from his constituents, to help with covering school registration packages.  

Mr. Holness says he understands that school administrators are charging more fees as a means of improving their institutions. 

But, the Prime Minister says government contribution to secondary schools, have increased dramatically. 

Prime Minister Holness, says while this may not be adequate, it’s important that all students have equal access to education.

Stevian Simmonds is an investigative journalist with almost 3 years of experience in radio broadcasting, production and reporting.
