The House of Representatives last evening voted to extend the two Zones of Special Operations, ZOSOs, in Denham Town, West Kingston and Mount Salem in St James.

National Security Minister, Dr Horace Chang moved the motion in the Lower House to extend the ZOSOs by 60-days.

In making the case for the extension, he sought to reiterate the need for sustained partnership.

In the meantime, South St Catherine MP and Opposition Spokesman on National Security, Fitz Jackson, says the extension of the ZOSOs is becoming a formality.

Northern Clarendon MP, Horace Dalley, says the parish remains a hot-spot for criminality. He’s pleading for an intervention from the security forces.

National Security Minister, Dr Horace Chang, says he’ll be providing an update to Parliament on the gains made under the two ZOSOs.
