Nationwide News understands that Attorney-at-law, Jennifer Housen has told the PNP top brass that she wishes to withdraw as the party’s Caretaker for West Rural, St. Andrew.
The immigration attorney was selected as the PNP standard-bearer in August of last year. It’s understood Ms Housen announced her decision in a letter to the party secretariat last week. She was expected to face sitting Member of Parliament, the JLP’s Juliet Cuthbert Flynn in the next General Elections.
Mrs. Cuthbert-Flynn defeated former MP, the PNP’s Paul Buchanan, in the 2016 General Elections by more than 2-thousand votes.
In a twitter post last evening, Ms. Housen said she would not confirm nor deny whether she’s stepping away from the post.
Calls placed to her mobile phone were not answered.
