ICC Cricket World Cup: Sri Lanka Defeat West Indies by 23-runs

It was defeat number six for the West Indies in their ICC Cricket World Cup against Sri Lanka, today.

Sri Lanka, led by a Avishka Fernando century beat the Windies by 23-runs at Riverside Ground.

Batting first, the Sri Lankans made 338 for 6 off their 50-overs.

Fernando’s 104 came off 103 balls and included 9-fours and 3-sixes.

Windies skipper, Jason Holder, took two wickets.

In reply, the windies were bowled out for 315 for 9.

Nicholas Pooran made 118, which included 11-fours and 4-six
