Immigration Attorney Selected as PNP Caretaker for WR St Andrew

Immigration attorney, Jennifer Housen, has been selected as the People’s National Party standard-bearer in the West Rural St. Andrew constituency.

The confirmation has come from the party’s General Secretary, Julian Robinson.

Ms. Housen was selected yesterday during a special selection conference.

The other candidate was Rohan Banks.

Two hundred and 52 delegates voted in favour of Ms. Housen while Mr. Banks got 49 votes.

The attorney first declared her interest in the seat in early June.

Ms. Housen is expected to face sitting Member of Parliament, the JLP’s Juliet Cuthbert Flynn in the next general election.

Mrs. Cuthbert-Flynn defeated former MP, the PNP’s Paul Buchanan, in the 2016 general election by more than two-thousand votes.
