Infrastructure development can be a win-win for everyone.

That’s the word from Prime Minister Andrew Holness.

This, after Mr. Holness said residents of Port Royal would not be displaced by ongoing developments in the area.

He was a panelist at the 4th Annual Caribbean Infrastructure Forum held at the AC Mariott Hotel in Kingston today.

Prime Minister Andrew Holness says he’s supportive of infrastructural development pointing to the Port Royal project and several road works taking place across the country.

The Prime Minister says in the government’s effort to preserve the historic value of Port Royal, it took a battering from climate change.

He says every development has it’s challenges.

In the case of some Port Royal residents whose forefathers inhabited the land before them, Mr Holness says their rights must not be overlooked.

But, the Prime Minister notes this isn’t always possible.
