“Innovative!” Lyn Reacts To Suggestion For Unified Caribbean Team

President of the Aquatic Sports Association of Jamaica, Martin Lyn, described the suggestion of a unified Caribbean team as innovative.

The suggestion was made by vice-president of the Cayman Islands Aquatic Sports Association, Stephen Broadbelt, at the recent Karl Dalhouse Memorial Swim meet at the stadium pool.

Broadbelt said there have been suggestions that there needs to be a Caribbean team to represent the region at global meets.

Lyn says this needs to be one of the items on the agenda when the head of the region’s associations meet at the Carifta Championships in Barbados.

However, Lyn believes there’s one major drawback to the suggestion.

He says this doesn’t mean it cannot be done.
