President of the JAAA, Dr. Warren Blake, says Jamaica’s athletes to the Armory Invitational will be using the meet as preparation for the indoor season.
Jamaica will be sending five males and five females to the meet in New York from January 25-27.
The Jamaican’s will compete in the 4×200-metres. Jamaica’s women won the relay last year, while the men won in 2016.
Colin King, Germaine Brown, Kavon Rattray, Stallone Watson and Kevin Thompson will make up the men’s team.
The female team will consist of, Yanique Ellington, Shavine Hodges, Verone Chambers, Shaniqua Walker and Kaitlin Whitehorne.
Other Caribbean teams that have been invited include Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, Grenada, and the Cayman Islands.
The United States, France and Canada will also be sending a team.
