Jamaica Ends Commonwealth Youth Games in 12th Position


Jamaica’s team ended the Commonwealth Youth Games 12th on the medals table with 2-gold, 3-silver and 4-bronze, in the Bahamas, yesterday.

England Topped the table with 23-gold, 14-silver and 12-bronze.

The Jamaicans picked up four of their medals on the final day of competition.

Johnelle Thomas posted 59.40-seconds to take the gold in the girls 400-metres hurdles, while compatriot Terice Steen picked up the bronze.

Thomas and Steen then teamed up with Kevon Stone and David Tomlinson to take the silver in the 4×100-metres-mixed-relays.

Meanwhile, Boxer Jerone Ennis bagged a bronze.
