Jamaica Must Closely Monitor Global Recession Risks – Phillips


Opposition Leader and PNP President, Dr Peter Phillips says Jamaica needs to closely watch what’s happening in the world market. 

This after news emerged on Wednesday of a possible recession. 

He says the country didn’t handle the last recession well.

He says the government has made a number of poor decisions regarding the country’s bauxite sector.

He was speaking at a delegates meeting last night in Fitz Jackson’s South St Catherine constituency.

Meanwhile, Dr Phillips says the Government of Jamaica continues to fail the Jamaican people in critical areas such as security and education.

The Opposition leader is insisting the Andrew Holness-led administration lacks proper management.
