Jamaican Kart Racer Finishes 2nd In International Event


Jamaican kart racer, Alex Powell, finished 2nd Overall at the Trofeo D’Autunno Finale, held in Lonato, Italy.

Powell narrowly missing his second win of the two-event series held at the South Garda Karting facility.

After claiming the 60 Mini win at Round 1 tournament last weekend, Powell entered the Mini ROX class in preparation for the ROK Cup Superfinal next weekend.

He qualified 33rd out of 99 racers.

In his first heat, Powell secured 2nd position.

He finished 6th in heat 2.

In the final, Powell narrowly missed first place by less than 2-10ths of a second.

Powell is again in action at the ROK Cup Superfinal at the International South Garda Circuit of Lonato, starting today.
