JCF Orders Probe into Release of Men Linked to Murder of Businessman

Nationwide News understands that the Police High Command has ordered an investigation into the release of men believed to be responsible for the murder of Corporate Area businessman, Richard Ramdial.

Ramdial was shot multiple times on Wednesday by gunmen.

He was attacked while driving his Mercedes Benz Sports Utility Vehicle along Ruthven Road in St. Andrew.

His killers are believed to have escaped in a motor vehicle which was parked nearby.

It’s understood that a team of Police personnel was alerted by their colleagues to be on the look out for the suspected get-a-away motor vehicle.

The license plate number and other particulars of the vehicle were passed on to the police team.

The team eventually intercepted the vehicle along Balmoral Avenue in St. Andrew.

It’s further understood that the men in the suspected get-a-away vehicle were reportedly searched and then released.

Head of the Criminal Investigation Branch, CIB Assistant Commissioner, Ealan Powell, has reportedly ordered the Police personnel involved in the matter to provide a statement explaining why the men were released.
