The Jamaica Football Federation and the Premier League Clubs Association have agreed to dissolve the Professional Football Association of Jamaica, PFAJ.

The governing body for football in Jamaica says the PFAJ was established in 2008 as a joint venture between JFF and the PLCA to administer the running and operation of the local premier league.

In coming to a mutual agreement, the two bodies concluded that the original objective for the establishment of PFAJ could now best be achieved without a third body.

Both entities will continue to meet to finalize the roles of the two entities. On conclusion of these discussions, all stakeholders will be advised accordingly.
