JFF to Intervene in Referees Impasse


The leadership of the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) will join the meeting between the various stakeholders to discuss the impasse between the referees and the league via teleconference from Barbados.

President Michael Ricketts and general secretary Dalton Wint are in Barbados for the FIFA Forward Project.

Wint says the meeting is important to the federation, therefore, they’ll be joining via telephone.

The meeting was scheduled to resolve a referees strike that affected five of six-midweek games in the Red Stripe Premier League..

The 1-all draw between Reno and UWI on Wednesday was the only match that took place in the League this week.

The other games were postponed because the referees have reportedly taken industrial action demanding money owed to them be paid
