Jamaica’s Patrick Graham, Hopeton Gilchrist and Andrew Edwards are among sixteen participants registered for the JFF’s CONCACAF train the trainers coaching course, from January 24-26.
The Jamaicans will be joined by coaches from Anguilla, Bahamas, Bermuda, Dominica, Montserrat and Turks and Caicos Islands.
The Course will be held at the UWI-Captain Horace Burrell Center of Excellence with an Opening Ceremony on day one.
Last year, three Jamaican coaches, Andre Virture, Wendell Downswell and Davion Ferguson did the same course in Barbados.
From the Jamaican perspective, the JFF is building a core of Instructors who will train coaches of youth players.
The strategic plan of the JFF is that the coaches who will benefit from this training will be primary school coaches who over time will be utilizing similar methodologies and structure to the training program of this age group island wide.
