JLP Election Ready – Chang

JLP General Secretary, Dr. Horace Chang, says the party will be ready whenever Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller calls the General Election.

The next general election is constitutionally due by December next year.

Over the past few weeks, Finance Minister Dr. Peter Phillips has appeared on various platforms, telling comrades to get ready for a General Election.

Several senior members of the governing party, including Region 3 Chairman, Phillip Paulwell, have urged Jamaicans to give the PNP another term.

Dr. Chang says the JLP is far advanced in its election preparations and will not be caught flat footed whenever the Prime Minister ‘flies the gate’.

Dr. Chang says the JLP has finalized candidates for most of the 63 constituencies.

Dr. Chang says efforts are also being made to assist several young and new candidates to cope with the demands of representational politics.
