JLP Settles New Standard-bearers For 8 More Constituencies – Montague


Chairman of the governing Jamaica Labour Party, Robert Montague, says as the party moves to fine tune its machinery it has settled on new standard-bearers for an additional eight constituencies.

Mr. Montague says the candidates will be presented soon.

He says work is taking place to resolve representation in some other constituencies.

Mr. Montague was addressing a JLP Area Council meeting in Manchester yesterday.

He told the meeting that he’s been working on a project called operation PREKEH to increase the vigilance of the labour party.

Abka Fitz-Henley is a multiple award-winning journalist who is currently the Senior Reporter at Nationwide News Network (NNN). Fitz-Henley is also the recipient of the PM Youth Award for Excellence. Over the years, he has appeared as a guest on the BBC World Service and BBC London.
