JTA Past President Urges Govt to Curb Crime

Immediate Past President of the Jamaica Teachers Association (JTA) Howard Isaacs is pleading to the government to curb crime and violence.

Mr Isaacs says one of his biggest challenge during his presidency was the high number of colleagues and students who’ve died because of violence or lifestyle diseases.

He made the plea as he delivered his final address as President at the JTA’s 53rd Annual Conference at the Hilton Rose Hall Resort and Spa in St James.

The three-day conference is being held under the theme: “Navigating the Education Landscape: Transforming, Engaging, Collaborating, Facilitating and Leading”.
