The appeal hearing of convicted dancehall artiste Vybz Kartel has been delayed by several months.
During a case management hearing today – the attorneys for the deejay, born Adidja Palmer, were granted a request for more time to prepare his appeal.
The new date for the appeal is July 9 next year.
It had been originally scheduled to be heard on February 19 next year.
The appeal hearing is expected to last for approximately three weeks.
In April 2014, Kartel and 4-members of his so-called Portmore Empire were convicted of murdering Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams.
