The Crooked River community in South East St. Mary recently had electricity turned on in their area for the first time in more than 25-years.
The community is one of two that also benefited from the installation of LED street lights.
Both Crooked River and Dover are two communities that had no street lights.
A resident in the Crooked River community was thankful to finally have electricity in his home.
Another grateful resident expressed that electricity is his community will help to lower criminality.
The official ceremony was attended by South East St. Mary Member of Parliament, Dr. Norman Dunn and Energy Minister, Dr. Andrew Wheatley.
