Chairman and CEO of the Port Authority of Jamaica, Professor Gordon Shirley, says the logistics hub initiative remains a key element of the government’s growth agenda.
Professor Shirley made the comment yesterday while speaking in an exclusive interview with Nationwide News at the Port Authority of Jamaica’s downtown Kingston office.
He says the PAJ’s recent contract with French based company Soget to implement a port community system is proof that Jamaica is serious about the logistics hub.
That contract is worth at least USD$7-million or JMD$840-million.
