Chairman of the Wynsinco Group, William Mahfood, is calling for a comprehensive review of the impact of a ban on styrofoam and plastic bag imports.
Mr. Mahfood says his company is investing heavily in reducing the impact of its operations on the environment.
He says the move to make their styrofoam containers biodegradable will increase the prices by about 5 percent.
Meanwhile, Mr. Mahfood says the company plans to add about 400 jobs in the next 5 years.
Wysynco currently employs some two-thousand people.
William Mahfood was speaking yesterday during a tour of the Wysynco Plant in White Marl, St. Catherine.
