Manhunt for Driver Behind Cop’s Death

Investigators are attempting to find the driver of a truck which was involved in a hit and run incident last night which claimed the life of a Police Constable.

The dead Policeman has been identified as Rage Bennett.

Constable Bennett was attached to the St Catherine North Division.

Reports are that Constable Bennett was driving his private motor car near Savannah Crossing in Clarendon when it was hit by a truck transporting marl.

He was taken to the May Pen Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The Commanding officer for the Clarendon Police Division is Superintendent Maurice Robinson.
