The St. Ann police say they’re looking at offering a monetary reward to help in their efforts to capture two men responsible for the killing and sexual assault of two young women in the parish on Tuesday.
Superintendent of Police, Steve Brown, says they’ve had no success in the hunt for the killers.
On Tuesday, 27-year-old Melika Smith and a high school student were attacked and chopped by one of the suspects.
Ms. Smith succumbed to her injuries yesterday.
The high school student has been discharged from hospital and is receiving counselling.
Superintendent Brown is asking the public for help as the police seek to arrest the suspects.
He says despite not having enough resources to carry out the search effectively, they’re doing their best.
