The May Pen Hospital in Clarendon is to scale down operations at its Accident and Emergency Unit, this weekend as it moves to change out its air condition system.
Senior Medical Officer at the May Pen Hospital, Dr. Bradley Edwards, says the hospital will only accept what he calls cases of ‘dire emergency’ during this period.
He says the hospital is to return to normal operations by Monday morning.
However, Dr Edwards says the Accident and Emergency Unit will aim to limit the number of patients it turns away.
Dr. Edwards says the hospital’s entire air conditioning system will be improved over time.
