The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade says Jamaica’s Ambassadors to London, Beijing and Washinton DC have resigned.
The Foreign Affairs Ministry this afternoon confirmed the resignations of Aloun Assamba, Fay Pickersgill and Ralph Thomas.
Jamaica’s Consulate General in New York, Herman LaMont, has also resigned.
The resignations will take effect on May 1.
The Foreign Ministry says it wishes to thank the Heads of Mission for their positive service in the interest of the Jamaican people.
The Ministry says the resignations are in keeping with protocol following a change of administration.
They say they’ve begun the process to replace the Heads of Mission, and will make an announcement when the new appointments are finalized.
