MMA Team Delivers Strong Showing at Amateur World Championships

Jamaica’s Mixed Martial Arts team had their best ever Showing at an International Sport Karate and Kickboxing Amateur World Championships at the Montego Bay Conference Centre, on Friday.

The team ended the tournament with 27 gold, 34 silver and 56 bronze.

National coach, Claude Chin, says they performed above his expectations.

The 18-35 men’s team beat a strong England team 3-2 in the finale. Chin said at least one other Jamaican fighter could have win.
