Mayor of Montego Bay, Homer Davis has announced plans to fix several major roadways in the tourism mecca.
He says the St James Municipal Corporation has submitted a resolution to the Office of the Prime Minister to secure nearly $400-million for the project.
Mayor Davis also expressed plans to construct an arcade for small business operators in the area.
He says the proceeds from the sale of the Bogue lands belonging to the municipality and market fees will also be used to assist the project.
Meantime the mayor endorsed the proposed recreational park to be constructed in the area formerly known as Dump Up Beach. He says if montego bay is to return to being the friendly city there’s need for more recreational spaces.
