The Ministry of Health says Jamaicans should anticipate an increase in the mosquito population following the recent rainfall.
The Ministry says through its Parish Health Departments, it continues to routinely fog selected areas to eliminate adult mosquitoes.
However it says fogging cannot be done during the rains.
It says person may contact the health department in their parish to report any area they believe may need to be fogged.
The Ministry is also urging persons to destroy mosquito breeding sites and protect themselves from mosquito bites as their population increases.
