A media conference is to be held tomorrow morning at 11 at Jamaica House to update the country on details of a meeting today between Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller and a number of civil society and private sector leaders.
The NHT/Outameni scandal was the main agenda item for today’s meeting which took place at Jamaica House.
Tomorrow’s briefing will involve Government officials and members of the private sector, along with representatives of civil society.
A source who attended today’s meeting told our news center that there was frank and constructive discussion regarding the NHT-Outameni scandal.
However it’s not clear whether the civil society and private sector groups were successful in having the Government agree to their call for the Easton Douglas-led NHT Board to be sacked for authorizing the purchase.
